Russia has blocked a United Nations Security Council statement condemning an assault against peacekeepers in Pyla.
According to local media, Moscow disagreed with the text of the statement, drafted by the United Kingdom to the UN, which received approval from the United States and France.
Russia’s good relations with Cyprus have thawed since Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
